Sponsorships

The Pueblo Chieftain Rolled Up Newspaper

How can I find out more about NIE sponsorships?

We are always looking for sponsors so that we can continue to offer our programs at no cost or low cost to schools. If you, or someone you know, would like to sponsor a classroom with newspapers there are several ways to do it:

  • Adopt-A-Class Program - Sponsors pay $135 a year to provide a classroom with 30 copies of The Pueblo Chieftain for 30 weeks of the school year. Sponsors receive community recognition through a full-page, color thank you ad that runs in The Chieftain 4 times a year. Many sponsors develop a partnership with their adopted class. Call the NIE office for more information.
  • K.I.D.S. Program - Going on vacation? You can donate the value of your undelivered newspapers to a local school, and because The Chieftain matches your donation, the school gets two papers for every one you donate. Call Circulation (544-0166) and ask about this option.
  • Pay By Mail Donation - When paying for your newspaper subscription why not add on an additional amount for the NIE Program? Just designate the amount you wish to donate to NIE and The Chieftain will match your contribution to provide free newspapers to schools in southeastern Colorado.
  • Program Sponsors - Some programs, like Bronco Mathmania, Welcome to Wall Street and Kindness lend themselves to having one or two sponsors who may have a special interest in that curriculum. Sponsors pay for the newspapers distributed for the program and in return, their logo appears on all the advertising done for the program. Call the NIE office for more information.
